DAB Composite


Zack Greenstein is a sophomore from Chappaqua, New York. In addition to DAB, Zack is a member of Penn Dems, a Design Editor for 34th Street, and a Jewish Life Liaison for the Jewish Renaissance Project. Zack is serving on both the Outreach and Dean/Student Interaction Committees.

Emily Lurie is a junior from Los Angeles, California majoring in Cognitive Science and minoring in Statistics. In addition to DAB, Emily enjoys volunteering through a program called Healthy Schools and is a member of Sigma Delta Tau. In her free time, she loves to go spinning and explore downtown Philly.

Executive Board:

Vice Chair Ila Sethi is a sophomore from Marlboro, New Jersey, planning to major in Biological Basis of Behavior and Health and Societies. In addition to DAB, Ila is a volunteer for the Neuroscience Educational Pipeline Program, a swimmer for Penn’s club team, and member of Chi Omega Fraternity . In her free time, Ila enjoys watching Friends, trying new foods, and exploring the city.

Treasurer Brian Zhong is a sophomore from Cupertino, California, planning to major in Biological Basis of Behavior. In addition to DAB, he serves on the editing committee of PennScience, tutors students at a local elementary school, and conducts neuroscience research in the Platt lab. During his free time, Brian finds every opportunity to discover new restaurants in Philly and explore the outdoors.

Marketing and External Relations Chair Sophie Rodney is a freshman from New York City, planning to major in Political Science. In addition to DAB, she writes for the sports section of the DP, is a mentor at the Comegys School and is on the Penn Chabad student board. Sophie enjoys baking, boxing and watching the news. She is also an avid New York Rangers fan.

Historian Simon Chen is a freshman from Allentown, Pennsylvania, planning to major in Biochemistry. In addition to DAB, he is a member of MUSE’s Executive Committee and FIMRC. In his spare time, he enjoys debating, following the news, and singing terribly in desperation for improvement. He is also passionate for trying new foods and exploring Asian culture.

Social Chair Molly Gross is a freshman from Calabasas, California. She intends on studying the Biological Basis of Behavior. In addition to DAB, Molly is a member of the Wharton Undergraduate Healthcare Club, volunteer to tutor biology for Moelis Access Science, writer for 34th Street, and blogger for Penn Appetit. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends, cook, discover new restaurants, and explore center city.


Adam Alghalith is a sophomore from the rural Kirksville, Missouri pursuing a degree in Biochemistry and submatriculating in Chemistry through the Vagelos MLS program. Adam is a member of MEDLIFE, Vice President of Ware House Council, and loves teaching children tennis through Penn Speaks for Autism. He enjoys playing soccer and tennis, hiking, fishing, playing guitar, and spending copious amounts of time on YouTube. Adam is also serving as New Member Representative.

Sanaea Bhagwagar is a freshman from North Haven, Connecticut, planning to major in Biochemistry. In addition to DAB, she is an associate Copy editor at the DP and an associate editor of Synapse. In her free time, she loves running, trying new food, and exploring the city. She is also a huge fan of cupcakes and anything chocolate!

Daniel Brennan is a sophomore who has lived in New York City, Philadelphia, Sydney, and most recently Miami.  He was recruited to row for Penn’s Varsity Lightweight Men’s Rowing Team, and is now in the Integrated Studies Program as a Benjamin Franklin Scholar. As an Eagle Scout his favorite hobbies include hiking, camping, and being outdoors. Daniel is also serving as Internal Newsletter Editor.

Julia DaSilva is a junior majoring in Health and Societies and double minoring in Spanish and International Development. Although born in Brazil, she has lived in Coconut Creek, Florida for most of her life. In addition to DAB, Julia is actively involved in SPEC as a their Secretary and in Alpha Phi Omega, a community service fraternity . If she’s not studying or working, you’ll find her binge watching a new show, reading, or learning to cook different types of food.

Austin Farris is a sophomore from Manhattan Beach, California. He is majoring in economics and minoring in statistics and computer science. In addition to DAB, Austin is a part of Penn Aerospace club and Penn Basketball Analytics Club—you can usually find him getting dunked on in Pottruck or convincing others that the Lakers will win the title by 2020.

Matt Foman is a junior from St. Paul, Minnesota majoring in Health and Societies. In addition to DAB, Matt spends his time teaching dance to West Philly elementary schoolers as a member of CityStep, interning for Hillel’s Jewish Renaissance Project, and as an associate editor of the Penn Bioethics Journal. He is also a peer advisor for the College as well as Sigma Alpha Mu’s philanthropy chair. Coming from the tundra, Matt enjoys everything snow/ice related, from hockey to skiing to snowman building.

Samantha Grasso is a senior from Buffalo, New York, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a concentration in Choice and Behavior  In addition to DAB, Samantha is co-chair of Penn Traditions and Seniors for The Penn Fund.  She is also a NETS TA as well as a member of SPEC and Sigma Kappa. Samantha loves running, comedy, and The Yankees.  

Kayla Holmes is a Sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences from Owings Mills, Maryland.  She’s thinking about majoring in Criminology, and is passionate about diversity and justice related topics.  Her interest include singing, dancing, reading, and she loves learning about new cultures.  In her free time you can find her jamming to old-school music, playing volleyball, or watching netflix. Kayla is currently serving on the Dean/Student Interaction Committee.

Natalie Koch is a senior from Narberth, Pennsylvania. She is studying Biological Basis of Behavior with minors in hispanic studies and healthcare management. Natalie is currently serving on DAB’s mental health committee. In addition to DAB, Natalie is the president of Sparks Dance Company at Penn. Natalie loves chocolate, travel, and crossword puzzles.

Elyse Kochman is a sophomore from Newtown, Pennsylvania. She is studying Environmental Studies and Science, Technology, and Society. In addition to DAB, Elyse is a founding member of Penn’s Club Softball Team. She spends most of her free time outdoors, with friends, or in pursuit of the perfect avocado toast.

Tinyan Omere is a freshman from Boston, MA majoring in Health and Societies with a concentration in Health Policy.  In addition to DAB, she is also also a member of the IAA and of MAPS. She is also involved in through Penn’s Pipeline Program. In her free time, Tinyan loves explore the city, travel, and cook. Tinyan is also serving as a Historian.

Eliana Salmon is a freshman from New York City. She is planning on majoring in PPE and minoring in Modern Middle Eastern Studies. In addition to DAB, she is part of the TAMID consulting group and the Benjamin Franklin Scholars program. In her free time, Eliana likes to dance, listen to Spanish music, and spend time with her friends and family.

Stephanie Wolf is a junior from Newton, MA majoring in Cogntive Science with a concentration in computation.  In addition to DAB, she is also also a member of the Penn’s varsity fencing team and a member of Alpha Phi. When she is not training for competition, you can find her going for runs, watching netflix or being the funniest person she knows.
